Our whole family lost a part of their hearts on Monday night. Our loving Great Pyrenees, Gixxer, peacefully left this world on January 8th, 2018. He is survived by his loving family members Alan, Marichu, and Andrew. Our only silver lining for that night was his peaceful look as he laid in his favorite spot for one last time.
Gixxer was not only our pet but was also a huge part of our family. My parents basically considered him to be my brother. We will never forget all the great memories he gave us for all nine years he was with us. He always greeted each one of us with excitement whenever one or all of us would come home. He always had this goofy smile that would bring a smile to your face, regardless of your current mood. He would bark all throughout the night to let us know he was protecting us from those evil squirrels plotting against us. He would always give us his paw multiple times even though we only asked once. Whenever he wanted attention from one of us he would lay belly up to make sure he got his belly rubbed. He was always there for each of us whenever we felt sad.
I hope that during the nine years he was with us, that we gave him as much as he has given us. We all wish we had more time with him but sadly, God has called you to your final resting place. Heaven has gained a handsome doggy angel. You may have left this world but you will forever be in this family’s heart. We will always love you Gixxer. Rest in Peace big guy.
