We received Belle when she was 3 years old just after we bought our first house, she was our first dog and we were so excited to have her. She truly made our new house a home.
She had been a Mama previously and took her Mama role very seriously even after being fixed especially to the furbrothers and fursisters that would come into our lives...cats too.
Belle loved sunbathing on her back, she had no shame. She was funny in her routines; she had many. She just couldn't wait for us to get home. Upon pulling up, you'd see her little nose in the gate then she'd run and greet us at the door with jumps, prancing and her nub just a goin' ninety miles an hour.
We miss her greatly. Life without her seems odd and incomplete somehow. I know we'll get back to normal eventually but the void of her presence is as big as her personality was; large.
She was lovingly let go in the arms of her mother with family present. We are pleased that she is no longer in pain and that we were able to make a positive choice to end her suffering and only wish that this was true for all living creatures great and small.
I'll see you in the stars baby girl. <3
