Ezra Kelly-Campbell was born January 10th, 2008, in Callisburg, Texas. Born to German Shepherd parents, he was the only male and only solid black GSD in a litter of five. Weeks later in 2008 Ezra was adopted into the Kelly-Campbell family by his Dads, Josh and Kevin. A week after his first birthday, his little fur-brother, Yukon (a Shiba Inu) was born; a few weeks later Ezra became a loving and protective big brother. The two fur-brothers, often affectionately referred to as "Big Turd" and "Little Turd" due to their 65lb size difference, were inseparable from the start.
Ezra was raised in Dallas, where he lived most of his life in lofts downtown. Although a city dog, Ezra loved trips to the country to visit family and spend time with the other family dogs, Sophie, Annie, Kooper, and Bonnie. But mainly to see, annoy, and play with Sophie, his favorite GSD in the world.
In 2018, Ezra and his family left the hustle and bustle of city life and moved to Collin County where he fell in love with his new home and yard. Of course, whether inside or out, Ezra had to have eyes on at least one of his Dads at all times. During his final year, Ezra loved to hang by the pool in his favorite spot, overlooking his new yard, hoping to catch a glimpse of a bunny pouncing through or the area ducks dropping in to say hi.
On the morning of August 19, 2019, Ezra laid down near his favorite spot and passed peacefully in the arms of both his Dads, who loved him so much and miss him terribly.
